SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Gov. Ed Panlilio urged Philippine National Police chief Director General Avelino Razon yesterday to finally abide by the law and appoint a new police director for the province.
“It has been more than nine months now since my assumption into office and still, our provincial director remains an officer-in-charge, while our repeated requests have been conveniently disregarded,” Panlilio said in a letter he personally handed to Razon during their meeting at Camp Crame.
Panlilio is seeking the appointment of Senior Superintendent Cesar Hawthorne Binag to replace Senior Superintendent Keith Singian as Pampanga police director. – Ding Cervantes
