Viet woman found dead in Laguna

-

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – A Vietnamese businesswoman was found dead in her car parked in a shopping complex in Sta. Rosa, Laguna Sunday morning, police said.

Senior Superintendent Felipe Rojas Jr., Laguna police director, identified the victim as Hue Nguyen Thi Tabil, a Vietnamese national married to Filipino businessman Daniel Tabil. The couple resided in Camarin, Caloocan City.

According to Rojas, the victim’s vehicle, a Honda Odyssey with license plate RDP-411, was recorded to have entered the parking lot of the Paseo de Sta Rosa Complex at around 2:30 p.m. last Sunday.

Last Wednesday, a security guard was taking his rounds at the parking lot when he chanced upon the victim’s car, with foul smell coming from it. He checked the vehicle and found the Vietnamese businesswoman at the backseat.

According to scene-of-the-crime operatives, the victim suffered blunt trauma on the chest and abdomen that could have caused her death. There were no signs of penetrating injuries or strangulation.

The victim’s husband told police that his wife, who was into the realty and financing business, left their home on Feb. 15 to meet someone reportedly interested in mortaging a house and lot worth P200,000, at SM City Manila.

There was no word though if the meeting pushed through.

The victim was also reportedly scheduled to meet a certain Atty. Lazaro in Quezon City who would help her file a lawsuit.

Police found in the victim’s car three ladies’ bags, a paper bag full of bottles of perfume, personal belongings, and car registration papers.

Police have yet to determine the motive behind the victim’s death. – With Ed Amoroso, Jerry Botial and Pete Laude
