COTABATO CITY – Executive Director Datu Ali Sangki of the Office of Muslim Affairs, his wife, Hadja Tita, and their two security escorts were injured after a vehicular accident in Buluan, Maguindanao last Saturday.
Sangki and his companions were bound for the town proper of Buluan from Davao City when their Toyota Hilux pick up truck turned-turtle at a portion of a national highway in Barangay Digal at the boundary of Buluan and Datu Paglas towns in Maguindanao.
Sangki, an ethnic Maguindanaon, was scheduled to hold a dialogue with local and religious leaders in Buluan.
A relative, Datu Freddie Mangudadatu, mayor of nearby Mangudadatu town, said the Sangki couple and their security escorts, who were not immediately identified, suffered injuries in their legs and contusions in parts of their bodies. – John Unson
