Manhunt on for killers of ex vice mayor, aides

 CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Police launched a manhunt operation against four gunmen who were responsible in the ambush of ex-Dasmariñas vice mayor and his two bodyguard and driver along Ba­rangay H2, Dasma­riñas, Cavite, Sunday afternoon.

Senior Superintendent Mark Edison Belarma, chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, said combined operatives of the CIDG and local police were dispatched somewhere in Cavite and nearby provinces to hunt  for the suspects Manap Dima­sar, Alexander Dimasar, Maca­ombao Dimasar and Misug Bunsalagan Dima­sar, all residents of Barangay Datu Ismael, Cavite.

The suspects were positively identified by several witnesses as the ambushers of ex-vice mayor Victor Carung­cong and his bodyguard Romeo Ong and municipal employee Da­nilo Cupino.  – Ed Amoroso
