BOCAUE, Bulacan –A messenger of a party-list representative critically wounded an errand boy of the Bulacan governor’s sister here yesterday morning.
Chief Inspector Rizalino Andaya, this town’s chief of police, identified the victim as Ronald Torrecampo of Barangay Lolomboy of this town.
Torrecampo works for Maria Fidelis Mendoza-Sales, the sister of incumbent Gov. Joselito Mendoza and former governor Josie dela Cruz.
He was shot in the head by Diosdado Baragan, an alleged messenger of Citizen’s Battle Against Corruption (Cibac) party-list Rep. Joel Villanueva, the younger brother of Mayor Jonjon Villanueva.
The Villanueva brothers are both sons of Jesus is Lord Fellowship founder Bro. Eddie Villanueva who ran in the 2004 presidential elections.
Police said that Roger Torrecampo, the victim’s father reported to them that his son was shot by Baragan around 12:30 p.m. yesterday.
He said, they have no idea why Baragan shot his son in the head using an unknown caliber.
The younger Torrecampo was rushed to the Philippine General Hospital in Manila while Baragan has been nowhere to be found.
Bocaue police on the other hand was conducting a massive manhunt against Baragan as of press time and is preparing the necessary charges.
This is the first case of indiscriminate firing in Bulacan since local police sealed their guns on Friday in preparation for the New Year revelry.
Earlier, a close security officer of Mayor Villanueva was implicated in the shooting and killing of a military officer along the MacArthur Highway just before the May 2007 elections.
