Chinese trader killed

-

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – A Chinese businessman was killed and two others were seriously wounded when shot by two motorcycle riding-armed men inside the compound of a hardware along Lazatin Boulevard, Barangay Dolores here, Saturday.

Senior Superintendent Keith Ernald Singian, Pampanga provincial police director, identified the victim as Jhonny Ngo, 51, owner of Harvest Gold Hardware and Concrete Products.

Seriously wounded and still under observation at the Makabali Clinic and Memorial Hospital are Edward Dolosa, 30, checker, of Barangay Del Pilar, and Jay Pechalin, 38, customer.

In his report, Superintendent Audie Atienza, chief of police of City of San Fernando, said the two gunmen arrived at the said hardware at around 7:50 a.m.

One of the suspects, then entered the office of Ngo and without any reason shot him several times, said Atienza.

The gunman went out of the office, shot Dolosa and Pechalin in the different parts of the body, he said.

The three victims were taken immediately at the said hospital but Ngo died while being treated due to multiple gunshot wounds in body. Atienza said the two victims are still under observation.

Singian said that police investigators are still investigating the motive of the killing although they theorized that it might be business rivalry because the suspects did not take cash or personal belongings from the victim.

At the same time, Singian ordered Atienza to identify and arrest the suspects. – Ric Sapnu
