Double-dead meat confiscated in Bataan

BALANGA CITY – Mayor Jose Enrique “Joet “Garcia III has ordered the closure of a Goto House after two sacks of double dead cow meat were confiscated by the City Public Safety Office (CPSO) operatives in Lerma street, Ba­­rangay Ibayo, this City, yesterday morning.

Garcia said the “hot meat” was reportedly unloaded from a closed stainless van with no markings at about 7:15 a.m. in Rhemin’s Goto owned by Minda dela Cerna.The alleged double dead meat were delivered by an unidentified dealer from Farmer’s Market in Cubao, Quezon City.

Garia III ordered CPSO chief retired Col. Natividad Decada Jr., together with the city health officer, to undertake inspections of congee or goto canteens to ensure the health and sanitation of customers.      – Raffy Viray
