Malacañang denied today that Executive Secretary Eduaro Ermita was resigning in the wake of allegations of bribery of government officials.
Press Secretary Ignacio R. Bunye said in a statement, "Talks that Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita has resigned or is planning to resign are absolutely untrue."
According to reports, Ermita was allegedly resigning after being tagged as one of the Palace officials who witnessed the distribution of cash gifts to local government officials at the Malacañang last October 11.
