Estrada files motion to be with ailing mother

Lawyers of detained President Joseph Estrada filed a motion before the Sandiganbayan allowing him to visit his mother Donya Mary from October 17-19 as well as attend the oral arguments scheduled on the 19th.

Estrada who was convicted of plunder last month is seeking permission to be with the 102-year old matriarch who has been confined at the San Juan Medical Center for the last two months.
 

Doctors said that Donya Mary is doing well although she has not seen or spoken to anyone since being confined at the hospital.
