A partylist congressman said Monday that members of the opposition in the House of Representatives were being offered P2 to P5 million pesos to sign an impeachment complaint against President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Anakpawis Representative Crispin Beltran made this revelation, and called on the complaint's endorsor, Laguna 4th district Rep. Edgar San Luis, to reveal whether he had also been offered money.
Lawyer Roel Pulido had filed the impeachment complaint against the President. Under House rules, no impeachment complaint can be filed against impeachable officials in a year.
