Typhoon 'Ineng' (international codename: Krosa) on Saturday has accelerated and is now over the eastern coast of Northern Taiwan, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical And Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
As of 4 p.m., the typhoon's center was located at 410 kms north of Basco, Batanes or 40 kms southeast of Taipei, Taiwan with maximum sustained winds of 185 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 220 kph.
The typhoon is moving northwest at 19 kph.
The weather bureau said the typhoon would be 550 kms north-northwest of Basco, Batanes or 130 kms northwest of Taipei, Taiwan by Sunday morning.
They also said no public storm warning signals were being raised while all public storm warning signals elsewhere are now being lowered.
However, Typhoon 'Ineng' will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon and bring rains over the western section of Luzon.
