‘Shabu van' owner hunted

- Non Alquitran -

The owner of the L-300 van where at least 246 kilos of shabu worth P1.23 billion was recovered in Laguna last Sept. 24 has disappeared, police said yesterday.

Chief Superintendent Perfecto Palad, Traffic Management Group (TMG) director, said van owner Dante Letada could not be found anymore in his listed address in Barangay Butuan in San Fernando, Masbate.

Palad said Senior Superintendent Edgar Layon, Masbate police director, has ordered a province-wide manhunt for Letada.

Palad said he is also coordinating with government agencies like the Land Transportation Office to trace the van owner.

The L-300 van is presently in the TMG’s custody in Camp Crame.
