Doble's wife casts doubts on husband's credibility
Arlene Doble, the wife of former military intelligence agent T/Sgt. Vidal Doble made an appearance Tuesday before the Senate committee reinvestigating the wiretapping issue.
The senators resumed its inquiry on the "Hello, Garci" controversy, with Senator Rodolfo Biazon chairing the committee national defense and security.
The inquiry is looking into the wiretapped phone conversation between President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and former elections commissioner Virgilio Garcillano over alleged plans to rig the May 2004 elections.
Arlene disputed the allegations made by Doble in the last Senate hearing, saying she and her two children were not confined by the military in Camp Aguinaldo as her husband had claimed.
Doble had called in sick today and was not present in the hearing.
