Central Mindanao workers demand  P75 wage increase

-

COTABATO CITY – Private sector workers in Central Mindanao are asking for a daily wage increase of P75, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board said.

Joel Gonzales, board secretary of TRWPB-12, said they can only respond to clamors for wage increase after extensive consultations with the labor sector and employers.

Region 12 covers the provinces of North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, Saranggani and the cities of Cotabato, Kidapawan, Tacurong, Koronadal and General Santos City.

“On or before Sept. 17, we shall come up with a new wage order acceptable to both employer and employees,” Gonzales said in an interview with Catholic station dxMSI here yesterday.
