DAVAO CITY – Police are building up cases against the Al-Khobar extortion gang which has owned up to the bombing of buses in Koronadal City.
Chief Superintendent Felizardo Serapio, Southern Mindanao police director, said his men are gathering information and evidence that would support the filing of charges against Al-Khobar in court.
Serapio likened Al-Khobar to the Pentagon gang, which was involved in kidnappings for ransom, extortion and robberies.
The Al-Khobar, a newly formed criminal group, has claimed responsibility for the recent bombings of units of the Yellow Bus Line (YBL) and Weena, whose owners had ignored their demands for “protection money.”
