Police are digging deeper into the killing of a volcanologist who was gunned down by two motorcycle-riding men in Irosin, Sorsogon Saturday night.
Reports reaching Camp Crame said Orlando Guardacasa, one of the science research specialists of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology monitoring the restive Bulusan volcano, was shot with a caliber .45 pistol in the head.
Police said Guardacasa had just come from Irosin town proper and was on his way to Juban town to attend a birthday party when he was slain. – Cecille Suerte Felipe
