The Philippine Military Academy (PMA), the country’s premier military school, has announced that this year‘s entrance examination for aspiring cadets will be held on Aug. 26.
The PMA entrance examination would be conducted in 27 examination centers nationwide.
“Applicants are advised to prepare for the examination, which covers Algebra, Geometry, Grammar, Composition, Reading Comprehension, Verbal/Numerical Reasoning and Pattern Analysis,” Capt. Dennis Solomon, PMA spokesman said.
To qualify for admission, an applicant must be a natural born Filipino citizen, single and never been married, stands 5’4” if male and 5’2” if female but not more than 6’4” tall, 17 to 22 years old by April 1, 2008, at least high school graduate with a minimum general average of 85 percent or a senior high school student with a general average of 85 percent.
Application forms are available for free at the nearest military and police units within the applicant’s locality. – James Mananghaya
