Warm weather increases incidence of sore eyes in La Union

-

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – Warm weather brought by the dry spell has increased the number of persons afflicted with conjunctivitis or sore eyes, the city health office here said.

Dr. Godofredo Rilloraza Jr., the city health officer, told The STAR that 87 individuals were affected with sore eyes this month, but only 25 cases were re-corded last month.

“It’s unusual because it (sore eyes) usually occurs during summer. However, although it is already rainy season, we are still experiencing warm weather be-cause of the drought, especially during the day. So watch out and be cautious,” Rilloraza said.
