USAID program to benefit OSYs, grade schoolers

KORONADAL CITY – Some 120,000 out-of-school youths and 300,000 elementary pupils are expected to benefit from the $60-million Education Quality and Access for Learning and Livelihood Skills 2 (EQuALLS2) program of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and Regions 9 and 12.

The USAID funding for the program’s second phase will be spread out over five years (from 2007 to 2011) in the three regions with the collaboration of the Department of Education (DepEd) and other concerned government agencies.
