Police arrested yesterday two suspects in the bombing of Yellow Bus Lines Inc. in Koronadal City last July 11.
Attempted murder raps were filed before the Prosecutor’s Office in Koronadal City against one Muhammad Sinsuat Cusain, 26, a resident of Barangay Dungo-an, M’lang, North Cotabato; and Nasrudin Mangelen Gamdang, 23, of Sitio Kawayan, Barangay Ramor, Salipada Pendatun, Maguindanao; and two John Does who remain at large.
Police said the suspects are now detained at the Koronadal City police station for disposition.
Elements of the South Cotabato Provincial Police Office (SCPPO) and Tacurong City Police Office (TCPO) headed by Florendo Flores Quidilla Jr. arrested the suspects in an operation in Cotabato City.
Central Mindanao police Chief Superintendent Felizardo Serapio Jr. said the entire police team is placed on heightened alert and is taking appropriate actions to pre-empt similar attacks. He is also personally supervising troop deployment and checkpoint operations in provincial offices as well as city police offices to ensure effectiveness.
“We are intensifying our intelligence monitoring and strengthening the conduct of check point operations in all possible exit and entry points within the AOR to ensure the public’s safety,” he said.
