CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Police believe they have busted a shabu talipapa in Mabalacat town with the arrest of 60 suspected drug pushers and users during a saturation drive last Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent Keith Ernald Singian, provincial police director, said the suspects rounded up along Ilang-Ilang street at Pineda Subdivision in Barangay Dau yielded at least 29 sachets of shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia and marijuana bricks.
He said the place had been known to be a hideout of drug traffickers and users for several years now.
The raiding team, composed of operatives from the Special Weapons and Tactics, Provincial Mobile Force, and the Mabalacat police, swooped down on several shanties in the area from 11 p.m. to past midnight.
Singian said the saturation drive was conducted after a month-long surveillance.
