Protestors train for G8 disruption

-

REDDELICH (AFP) - On the eve of the G8 summit in Germany, the tent villages housing anti-globalization protestors have turned into training camps as activists prepare to target the event.

In Reddelich, a hamlet some 10 kilometers (six miles) from Heiligendamm where the leaders of the industrialized world will meet from Wednesday, instructors were shouting orders through loud-speakers as they put a group of 150 protestors through their paces.

They practiced rushing past police officers to block the two main roads leading to Heiligendamm, a Baltic Sea resort that has been sealed off by a fence and razor-wire to keep left-wing groups from disrupting the summit.
