-
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – An anti-carjacking task force is hunting down members of three groups believed behind the series of car thefts in Central Luzon.

"Intensified intelligence gathering and mopping-up operations have been launched against these groups," said Chief Superintendent Ismael Rafanan, Region 3 police director. He refused to identify the three syndicates.

Since January, at least 11 vehicles, mostly Toyota Hi-Lux pickups, were forcibly taken by armed men in Angeles City in Pampanga and Bulacan. – Ric Sapnu
