5 held for PCUP employee’s slay

Police arrested five suspected members of the Rebolusyonaryong Hukbong Bayan (RHB) for the murder of an employee of the Philippine Commission on Urban Poor (PCUP) in Samar four days ago.

During the weekly forum Talakayan sa Isyu ng Pulis, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Oscar Calderon presented to the media suspects Noli Abayan, 20; Joselito Bardelis, 18; Luisito Gaborne, 18; and two minors.

In his report to Calderon, Chief Superintendent Eliseo de la Paz, Eastern Visayas police director, said the five were implicated in the gunslaying of PCUP employee Sixto Elizar and the wounding of his companion, Rey de Luna, inside a videoke bar in Hinabangan, Samar last Friday night.
