CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna Suspended Sta. Rosa City Mayor Jose Catindig threatened to file charges against the police after elements of the Regional Special Operations Group raided his house in a posh subdivision here Thursday morning for an alleged cache of firearms he was reportedly keeping.
Catindig claimed that the raid was politically motivated and accused his political rival, acting Mayor Arlene Arcillas, of having a hand in the raid.
Judge Nicolas Fadul Jr. of the Pagsanjan Metropolitan Circuit Trial Court issued a search warrant based on a statement of Catindigs former police escort. The raid, however, yielded nothing. Arnell Ozaeta
