Double murder suspect arrested in Cavite

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna The principal suspect in the double murder case in Cavite, two years ago, was captured by authorities along General Emilio Aguinaldo highway, Brgy. San Agustin, Dasmariñas, Cavite, Wednesday morning. reports said.
P/Supt. James Brillantes, chief of Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG) 4A identified the suspect as Virgilio Ballen de Villa, 47, a resident of Brgy. Sampang, Ternate, Cavite. Aside from murder, the suspect was also involved in a series of robbery in the Calabarzon region.
Brillantes said De Villa was positively identified by witnesses as the gunman of Bienvindo Taglinao and Antero Lumbre in Brgy. Buenavista dos Malabon, General Trias, Cavite on April 2003. He was also listed as number six in the most wanted persons in Cavite. De Villa has the pending cases in nearby provinces. Brillantes said.
The RSOG operatives armed with arrest warrant issued by Executive Judge Aurelio Icasiano, of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 23, Trece Martinez, Cavite, immediately arrested De Villa. Ed Amoroso
