Controversy continues to hound hot meat issue

SAN FERNANDO CITY, Pampanga Consumers said yesterday they were alarmed over the controversy of the missing "hot meat" which have been reportedly contaminated with foot and mouth disease (FMD).
The seized "hot meat" from Kayabe Ice Plant and Cold Storage in Barangay Lagundi, Mexico, Pampanga, by combined agents of the Bureau of Customs (BoC), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and Task Force Anti-Smuggling, allegedly meant to be made into ham and other meat products to be sold this Christmas season.
With the seizure of "hot meat" from the said cold storage, consumers are thinking twice if they are going to purchase ham and other meat products this Christmas. Ric Sapnu
