Masbate mayor dies of heart attack

LEGAZPI CITY The mayor of San Jacinto, Masbate died of heart attack while he was taking a bath Wednesday morning.
Mayor Emilio Asis Espinosa, 35, son of Rep. Tito Espinosa who was killed in an ambush in Quezon City in 1998, was preparing to take the early morning flight to Manila for his three-month-old sons baptism in Quezon City on Saturday. He had two other children aged four and three.
The young Espinosas sister, Sandra, is the wife of Masbate first district Rep. Bong Bravo.
His mother, former congresswoman Vida Espinosa, persuaded him to enter politics after he passed the medical board examination in 2001.
His cousin, Moises Jun Espinosa, was gunned down in 2001 while serving as mayor of Masbate City.
