1 killed, 2 injured in Rizal traffic accident

A driver of a dump truck was killed while two others were seriously injured when it hit another dump truck in Rodriguez, Rizal the other day.

Dead on the spot was Anthony Cabiad, 25, a resident of Apitong Street, Pinatubo, Marikina.

Injured were Jericho Madridano, 26, of Barangay Malanday, San Mateo; and Carlito Vitug, 39, of Pampanga.

The two were rushed to the Amang Rodriguez Medical Center.

According to PO1 Edwin Ignacio, Vitug was driving a dump truck, with license plate PHH-520, along Sitio Harangan, Barangay San Isidro, when he lost control of the vehicle at around 3 a.m.

Vitug’s dump truck hit the other dump truck, with license USB-320, driven by Cabiad.

Police filed criminal charges of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide and physical injury, as well as damage to property against Vitug. — Sandy Araneta
