Food in bgay hall event downs 27 Antipolo folk

At least 27 people, including children, were rushed to hospitals after vomiting and experiencing stomach pains due to the food they had eaten during the blessing of a barangay hall in Antipolo City yesterday.
Elmer Quintos, head of the citys rescue team, said the victims suffered the symptoms of apparent food poisoning soon after they had gone home from the blessing at 10 a.m. of the barangay hall in Barangay Calawis.
Ian Ramilo, a hospital nurse, said the victims, aged one to 68, suffered dehydration.
Mayor Angelito Gatlabayan immediately gave medical assistance to the victims, majority of whom were rushed to the Antipolo City District Hospital.
Gatlabayan ordered the police to investigate the incident.
Reports said the victims ate dinuguan and menudo during the barangay halls blessing.
