Indian abducted in Isabela

ILAGAN, Isabela — Police are still searching for a 25-year-old Indian businessman who was abducted by armed men in Echague town last Monday.

The provincial anti-kidnapping task force said it has beefed up its efforts to rescue Manjit Singh, a resident of Santiago City, who was seized by a group of armed men aboard a van while he was cruising the national highway in Echague on his motorcycle.

Singh’s motorcycle was later found abandoned in an isolated area in Echague. Singh’s abductors have reportedly demanded P10-million ransom. — Charlie Lagasca
