Police have taken into custody a 30-year-old money lender for his alleged involvement in the ambush-killing of a broadcaster in Digos, Davao del Sur the other day.
In a report to Deputy Director General Avelino Razon, chief of the police Task Force Usig, Chief Superintendent Pedro Tango said money lender Juan Jesus Sataum was taken into police custody after the black Kawasaki motorcycle used by the killers of radioman Armando Pace was found in his residence.
Tango, who was sent by Razon to Digos to assist in the probe, said the motorcycle had stains of what seemed to be fresh blood when it was found.
Pace, a "blocktimer" or who bought airtime in dxDS Radyo Ukay, was the ninth journalist killed this year.
"I gave instructions to Gen. Tango to ensure the availability of all technical, forensic, investigative and legal resources to ensure the speedy resolution of the case," Razon said.
