"The labeling of General Santos as a training ground of terrorists is not true. It is an impossible report. It is not proper," said Senior Superintendent Alfredo Toroctocon, city police chief.
"That should be rectified. That should not be publicized because it would affect the future, especially the economic activities of this city," Toroctocon said.
Two years ago, General Santos, dubbed as the countrys "tuna capital," was rocked by several bombings blamed on the Abu Sayyaf, killing dozens of people. Ramil Bajo
