BUTUAN CITY All police units in the Caraga regions three cities and 71 towns are on the lookout for the white Delica van of Misamis Oriental Rep. Danilo Lagbas which was stolen last Wednesday night in Cagayan de Oro City.
Chief Superintendent Geary Lingan Barias, regional police director, flashed the alarm for Lagbas stolen van with license plate RCC 556 even as reports claimed that the car thieves were headed toward this city.
This developed as policemen recovered the other day at a checkpoint along the national highway in Barangay Marga, Tubod, Surigao del Norte a blue Mercedes Benz with license plate LIS 539 owned by Abner and Jocelyn Yabo of Manticao, Misamis Oriental.
A certain Beatriz Gomez reportedly failed to return the vehicle after renting it from the couple for a trip to Surigao City.
Gomez, however, claimed that she failed to return the vehicle after its driver, Osias Peliño, left her and her companions in Surigao City.
Police have turned over the vehicle to the Yabo couple.
