MILF commander killed

COTABATO CITY Suspected members of a rival clan killed a commander of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in an ambush in Midsayap, North Cotabato the other night, raising fears of a violent showdown between the two families.
Police said the victim, Tubog Pulalon, barangay chairman of Mudsing, was on his way home from his farm when he was fired at with assault rifles.
Pulalon was known to have many enemies in Midsayap and surrounding towns. He was implicated in more than a dozen murder cases, some still pending in different courts.
The municipal peace and order council has sent emissaries to convince Pulalons relatives not to retaliate. John Unson
