2 car thieves slain

Two suspected car thieves were killed and their two alleged cohorts were arrested in a shootout with Traffic Management Group operatives who had responded to a report about a stolen taxi in Rodriguez, Rizal yesterday morning.

The two slain men remained unidentified as of press time. Police held James Vinluan, 23, and a 17-year-old girl, who both denied being involved in the car theft. — Sandy Araneta, Jaime Laude
