Couple nabbed for possession of ‘hot’ cars

-
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Agents of the Regional Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (3rd RCIDU) on Saturday arrested a couple after four hot cars were found to be in their possession.

The cars were recovered in Carmenville Subdivision and Barangay Bagong Bayan, both in Angeles City.

Superintendent Salvador Manga Jr., regional chief of the 3rd RCIDU, said his men raided the house of Romeo Valencia and his wife Herminia in Carmenville Subdivision and their alleged auto repair shop along Kulintang Street, Bagong Bayan.

A Maroon Nissan Urvan with license plate WLP-263, a pair of plate numbers (ZAP-437) and assorted motor vehicle accessories were seized by the police, Manga said.

Meanwhile, confiscated from the auto repair shop were one red Adventure with license plate MCC-857, one green Toyota Hi-Ace with license plate GKU-107, a maroon XLT with license plate CHX-408, and assorted motor vehicle parts.

According to Manga, Romeo Valencia has two pending criminal cases filed by the Traffic Management Group also for car theft. — Ric Sapnu
