TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite Cavite Gov. Ireneo Maliksi has filed a P50-million libel suit against the publishers and editors of three local tabloids for publishing what he described as malicious, unfounded, defamatory and insulting articles against him.
Named as respondents in Maliksis 15-page libel complaint were Katapat publisher Archie Gadang and editors Jimmy Saberon and Leonardo Eduave; Peryodiko publisher Tony Tabbad and editors Romy Tornito and Cayet Sarmiento; and Asianstar Weekly publisher Rudy Apollo, and editors Michelle Apolo, Reynaldo Apolo and Ed Cuvinar.
In his complaint, Maliksi said the three tabloids have put out several articles allegedly meant to discredit him and take away the support of Caviteños for his administration. Arnell Ozaeta
