5 killed, boy hurt in Lanao gun attack

MARAWI CITY Unidentified men opened fire at a vehicle in the town proper of Tamparan in Lanao del Sur yesterday, killing five people and wounding a five-year old-child, the military said.
All the victims, who were on board a Toyota Revo, were residents of the adjoining towns of Maguing and Lumba Bayabao, the military said.
Early this week, acting Lanao del Sur Gov. Monera Macabangon settled a rido (family feud) between two clans from the two municipalities.
"Blood money" was given to the aggrieved party during the dialogue witnessed by the mayors of the two towns, and police and other municipal officials. Lino de la Cruz
