Jimenez to donate P5 M to Calapan

-
Former Manila Rep. Mark Jimenez pledged to donate a total of P5 million to be used in purchasing badly needed relief goods for the flood victims in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

Jimenez handed yesterday P1 million to Calapan City officials and the Guardians for relief operations starting today with the help of the members of the Nagkakaisa sa Diyos, Nagkakaisang Pilipino (One in God, One Filipino), a religious organization he has founded.

Jimenez will donate P1 million more upon his arrival in Manila on Jan. 12 from a spiritual retreat in Malaybalay, Bukidnon.

Jimenez will personally hand over the remaining P3 million on Jan. 13 when he visits Calapan City and the other areas hardest hit by the flash floods that swamped the region last month.
