2 killed in Cagayan de Oro ambush

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY Two soldiers from the Philippine Armys 4th Infantry Division here were ambushed and killed while on their way to the SM Mall in Upper Balulang by unidentified armed men yesterday afternoon.
Col. Francisco Simbajon, military spokesman here, said that 1Lt. Paulman Sadat Tamano and Pfc. Nabral Bara were on their way to the SM Mall in Upper Balulang at about 1:30 p.m. when their Hi-Lux pick-up was stopped by two other vehicles, a red Honda CRV and a red Nissan pick-up.
On board the two red vehicles were armed men who immediately opened fire at Tamanos pick-up.
