Dinakdakan downs 7 eatery customers

-
SAN FERNANDO CITY — At least seven customers of an eatery here, including a 12-year-old girl, complained of dizziness, vomiting and diarrhea after consuming dinakdakan, an Ilocano delicacy of boiled pig’s ears, cheeks, tongue and brain mixed with vinegar, black pepper and red onions, the other day.

Councilor Francisco Ortega Jr., acting city mayor, immediately ordered the city health office led by Dr. Eduardo Posadas to investigate the incident.

He also instructed Ofelia Mendoza, chief of the permits and licensing division, to issue a temporary closure order for the eatery located near City Hall. Vic Alhambra Jr., Jun Elias
