Lawman held for girls slay

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna A policeman tagged in the killing of a seven-year-old girl and the wounding of a businesswoman in Los Baños, Laguna last Wednesday night was arrested after a witness positively identified him as the attacker.
Senior Superintendent Federico Terte, Laguna police director, said PO2 Erick Kaligayahan, who belongs to the San Pablo City police, was collared after the witness tagged him as one of the three men who shot and wounded businesswoman Marcela Torres and killed seven-year-old Trisha Mae Bagnes with a stray bullet.
Kaligayahan, however, denied any hand in the killing.
Terte said Kaligayahan was driving his car in front of the public market in Barangay Baybayin, Los Baños town when his two companions alighted and shot Torres.
