BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya The police are still clueless on who were behind last weeks robbery-holdup of at least P6 million in Christmas bonuses for public school teachers.
In a report, the police said they have yet to identify the robbers who took the bonuses, including clothing allowances and salary differentials, of teachers of the Bambang West Elementary School in Bambang town.
PO3 Alfonso Dulay, officer on case, earlier reported that the robbers, posing as passengers, forcibly took the amount, including some personal valuables, from Consolacion Callang, education supervisor of the Bambang school district, while they were on board a passenger jeepney along the national highway in Barangay Macate, Bambang town at about 7:30 p.m. last Friday.
After divesting Callang of checks, ATM cards and her P15,000 personal cash, the robbers directed the jeepney driver, a certain Jerry Saguday, to proceed to the bank of the nearby Magat River where they ordered the passengers and Saguday to disembark.
