GENERAL SANTOS CITY A reporter of the ABS-CBN television network here sought police assistance yesterday morning after two motorcycle-riding men, wearing black jackets, tailed him while he was on his way home.
According to the police blotter, reporter Sonny Sombreo was cruising the Calumpang Highway on board his motorcycle when the two unidentified men followed him.
Sombreo, who reportedly faces several death threats, said he left the city proper at about 11:55 p.m. last Monday after attending a "personal meeting" in a restaurant.
"When I reached Purok Malok of Barangay Labangal past midnight, I noticed two men riding in a red motorcycle (following me). I ignored them (thinking that they were also going to Barangay Tambler where I reside)," he said.
When he stopped at a convenience store, Sombreo said he noticed the two men parking their motorcycle on the roadside and looking at him.
He said he sped away, and the two men followed him, prompting him to proceed to the police station and seek assistance.
