Six face arrest for trader’s slay

SUBIC, Zambales — The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) are jointly hunting a councilor of Castillejos town and five others in connection with the gunslaying of a businessman here last March 11.

Facing arrest, as Judge Miguel Famularcano Jr. ordered, are Castillejos kagawad Reynaldo Misa and his live-in partner, Veronica Corpuz, lawyer Paulino Parungao, Alfredo Alipio and Nilo Garin. The sixth suspect is still unidentified.

The victim, Abner Guerrero Parungao, was shot dead by a supposed hired killer while he was about to board his car in Barangay San Isidro here last March 11. — Ric Sapnu
