5 charged in Ecija contractors slay

CABANATUAN CITY The police have filed a murder complaint with the city prosecutors office against five men tagged in the slaying of a prominent contractor here three weeks ago.
Charged were Freddie Santos, alias Charger, and four other still unidentified men, who are all still at large, said Superintendent Jesus Gordon Descanzo, police station commander.
Descanzo said the five were implicated in the Aug. 7 gunslaying of contractor Gregorio Santos, 49, of Barangay San Josef Norte this city.
Santos (no relation to Freddie) was gunned down while he was playing a video game in an arcade of the NE Pacific Mall in Barangay Concepcion here.
The victim was with his two sons, Jefferson, 16, and Glenn Darrel, 11, when he was shot in the head from behind.
Descanzo said he personally warned the contractor who had been receiving death threats, but he merely shrugged them off. Manny Galvez
