OFW desks underway in Central Mindanao

Koronadal City The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and Central Mindanao officials signed a memorandum of agreement last Thursday for the establishment of "OFW (overseas Filipino workers) desks" in the provinces, cities and towns within the region.
The signing of the agreement was held during the inauguration of the OWWA regional office here, graced by OWWA administrator Marianito Roque.
Representatives signed the MOA in behalf of Governors Datu Pax Mangudadatu (Sultan Kudarat), Miguel Rene Dominguez (Sarangani) and Manny Piñol (North Cotabato), who were not able to attend the event reportedly because of a meeting with President Arroyo in Malacañang.
For her part, South Cotabato Governor Daisy Avance-Fuentes was reportedly scheduled to fly to Germany for medical reasons. Ramil Bajo
