Palawan pastor survives slay try

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna A pastor of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines is in critical condition after he was shot by two motorcycle-riding men while he was getting off a passenger jeepney in Puerto Princesa City last Saturday.
Chief Superintendent Delfin Genio, Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) police director, said pastor Raul Domingo, 35, sustained four gunshot wounds from a caliber .45 pistol.
Domingo, a known local leader of militant groups Bayan and Karapatan, has been critical of a mining venture in Narra, Palawan and has received death threats, said Victor Selagan, secretary general of the Samahan ng mga Magsasaka sa Palawan. Arnell Ozaeta
