-
CARMEN, Agusan del Norte — A two-story building of a parochial school here collapsed yesterday morning, causing injuries to eight students.

Those injured, mostly high school sophomores aged 13 to 16 of the Carmen Academy, were rushed to the Nasipit District Hospital and the Agusan del Norte Provincial Hospital in Butuan City.

Mayor Jovitte Calo immediately sent heavy equipment such as a bulldozer, payloader and dump trucks to the school compound at the back of the parish church to clear the debris of the collapsed building. — Ben Serrano
